Rea's 21st

Finally... Rea's 21!! She's the last to be 21st among our group of friends. So yeah, finally. It was a simple, but different this time. Some of us went to Galaxy World, which is the first as a group. I didn't take any photos there...
Then we had dinner at a place near Capitol Centre called En Casa. It was Spanish Cuisine, and the food was pretty good, and the service was good considering we weren't going to be the people who will spend tonnes of money there.

Then we had fireworks, these were my favourite shots of the night

Photo Walk @ Luna Park and China Town

Finally. After three and a half years of photographing with my 06' made Nikon, I have finally went out with Brian to purposely take photos of our well-known Sydney!
Organizing it was really easy as we knew where we were going to do, and it was just the matter of just knowing how to get there. So even though we knew we were heading to Luna Park for our first stop, getting there was a slight problem. I sound so un-Australian, or un-sydneyian (if that's what you call it) but I don't know how to get onto the Harbour Bridge on foot! I've been over it by car, train, bus and ferry (just under it), and yet, I'm nearly 22, and I don't know how to go ONTO the bridge. I sound so un-local all of a sudden. But on the day, we asked the friendly CityRail staff at Circular Quay, and she told us there's a lift on the Harbour that is near those palm trees and Opera House.

So our first stop was Luna Park. Along the way, we had a few good shots of our City... and the lifestyle around here...

It was about an hours walk from Circular Quay, and it's a very relaxing walk, no steep ends nothing. Well at least I think it was relaxing.. Maybe not Brian though.
So here we are, safely arrived at Luna Park, and it was so good, because there's so much to take, and most importantly, it's free. You can't say no when it's free. No way.

It took us about 2 hours to finish taking what we wanted from Luna Park, providing it was free the whole way. So next was just walking back to the Harbour side, and taking photos there.
We did some levitating shots... I'm addicted to this stuff!

Brian has more shots of me levitating too..
We saw this patch of green grass with the bridge on top, and it made some interesting patterns on the grass... the grass also waved so pretty too! Too bad I can't video it on my camera..

Then we went back onto the bridge, and saw several locks on the fence. I think it represents people's marriages and the 'tying-the-knot' moment, I wonder what this area will look like in 50 years?

I converted the photo to black and white because the light around us was too harsh, and it created heavy shadows. I felt that black and white made it look flat, but it enhances the details instead.

Then I saw this, and it made me smile... Where would I be without my mother? I don't think I'll end up achieving or doing what I have, at this point. She will ALWAYS be my star... the brightest of all as well.

I always wanted to be in this line of people to try out this 'Emperor Pastry Puff', but timing wise, I've never tried it, and will really want to one day... Has anyone tried it before? Tell me what it's like!!

While I was buying my first SodaGreen music CD from the shop, Brian was taking photos of a lions backside.. Did it fart?

We then ended up on Dixon Street, and took some panning shots

And a bike.

We then headed up to Capitol, and took some photos of the toys in the machine... Until a guy said in a heavy Chinese accent, 'No Photo!!' full with hand and everything, I think he was running up to us too.. It was funny, and concerning.

Brian's 21st and Healthy's 22nd!

Finally, the second last 21st birthday we'll have in our group, next is Rea. So this time, comparably it was a simple gathering. Just movie and dinner.
One thing that happened without us happening was Katy Perry was at Event Cinemas at Town Hall George Street Cinemas making an appearance on her new movie: 3D Katy Perry: Part of Me.
We watched "Brave" and we thought it might be a childish cartoon, but surprisingly it wasn't. To me it was a very emotional movie where a girl dislikes her mother deciding her every step. But until her mum turned into a bear, they both learnt much more about each other, and understanding each other's weaknesses and strengths. Their relationship with each other was strengthened through pressured and stressful times.
We had  a simple dinner at Campbells Restaurant at Chinatown, and for the first time, we actually went to a Chinese restaurant, but ate steak... not bad of a place. The service was good and the food was good. Well worth the price.
I only took photos when we got out of the restaurant, and we got to this kind of stuff....
I'm kinda crazy about all this magical levitation right now, because I reckon it makes the photo look so much more interesting. I'm sure by now, most of my friends know me as the "friend who always try to get everyone jumping in a shot." Until now, it still hasn't happened, so I might as well do it on myself and to people who actually want to do it.

Then at Cockle Bay Wharf, there weren't any fireworks, but there was a permanent light display on the two new buildings across from the park.
But since my photos were blurry, I might as well make it apparent.

Group shot!

Bushwalking @ Two Creeks Track

It was a bright, sunny day, and not a single cloud in the sky.... Ok, let's quit that fairy-tale introduction. The weather that week was not a very convincing, it was just a complete raining, cloudy and hailing week, never have thought on doing a bush walk on the following Monday.
The grounds were wet and soggy, and it was such a trek to do the whole two hour hike. But never-the-less the walk turned out to be really good, where the weather held up for us, and it gave us the chance to take photos in the bush. And yep, it wasn't as easy as what I thought it would be.

Coastal Walk from Coogee to Clovelly

What a day it was... It was warm, cool, and sort of wet all at the same time! So it was a really nice day at Coogee Beach! It was quite a small group for the day, but it was so fun!! It wasn't just swimming in the water, but we did the coastal walk from Coogee to Clovelly, and there was so many photography chances. It's a definitely good spot for photography. Maybe I'd do the walk from Clovelly to Tamarama/Bondi sometime. So I took my camera (as usual) and did another huge batch of photos...

Sculptures By The Sea 2011

I've never been to Sculptures By The Sea before. And many people still say to me that years before this years one was much better than 2011's. But being a first-timer to Sculptures, it was a really good visit, and a nice walk from Bondi to Tamarama. The sculptures were really special, and some were just totally funny!

Au Revoir JAMES!! We’ll Miss You!!

See the title? James is now leaving us once and for all…. *sob*, nah, I’m just kidding. He is leaving us, but not once and for all though! It’s just a period of 6 months. Not long.. And he’s not that far either.. Just Sweden.
So anyway, let’s stop the sadness. We had a farewell gathering for James (at his house) and made ourselves dinner. The process of dinner was really funny at one point.. Just watch.
Now, have anyone made bad mistakes with flour and water? Well, we definitely did. This is what 7cups flour, and 1cup water looks like. It was so dusty!! ><”
This is what 7cups flour and 250mls water looks like. Don't try this at home.

Let's get moving with Easter!

Hi everyone!
It's Easter once again, and here we go with the Easter eggs, Easter bunnies and this time, we had a very fun (and awkward!) time playing with the Xbox Kinect! We also had a really smart dog to play with as well!!

So this time for our gathering for Easter, we had the Xbox Kinect to muck around with. It was so funny and awkward because, normally, when you play a game on a console, you have a controller, with probably a cord hanging from the controller. But with the Xbox Kinect, you don't have a controller to hold, and all you need is you! Yep, just you to play with the TV! This Xbox Kinect is seriously something worth saving for!! Hey, you actually have to MOVE in order to play these activities. Unlike Wii, they try to make it look active, but in fact, you can easy cheat in the game, and they actually can't see you. So yea, this Xbox is really cool.
